Position: Physical Therapist – Women’s Pelvic Health Specialist

Work type: Options for PRN, part-time, or full-time

Standard hours per week: 20 hours to start if doing pelvic floor only. If doing pelvic floor and orthopedics, up to 40 hours per week.

Work assignment type: On-site

Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00a – 5:30pm. Options for evenings and/or Saturdays.

Location: Holly Springs, NC

About Village Physical Therapy

 Serve a wide variety of populations: orthopedic, neurological (Parkinson’s Disease), sports and performance, vestibular, women’s pelvic health, geriatric, pediatric

 Hybrid model – insurance and cash-based services including dry needling, massage therapy, and fitness/wellness coaching

Requirements:

 Licensed PT (MPT or DPT)

 Has or will attain (within 30 days of hiring) women’s pelvic health certification, such as Herman and Wallace

 Willing and able to perform internal pelvic evaluation and treatment as deemed appropriate for the patient

 Willing and able to evaluate and treat traditional outpatient patients as needed, i.e. patients with impairments, limitations, restrictions not related to the pelvic floor.

Preferred: 

 At least 1 year experience with evaluating and treating pelvic floor pathologies, dysfunctions, etc.

 Attained or working towards Board Certified Women’s Health Specialist  https://specialization.apta.org/become-a-specialist/womens-health

 Dry needling certified

Expectations:

 Case load focused primarily on women’s pelvic health (50%+)

 Open to treat non-pelvic floor conditions, general orthopedics 

 May be exclusive pelvic floor as schedule permits and demand grows

 Confident and compassionate personality

 Team player: Open to collaborating with others in the practice for the good of the patient, such as referring patients to other provider or treating patients if a PT calls out sick or out on vacation.

 “Intra-preneur” mindset by having a “business within the business”

 Willingness to market to local healthcare providers, fitness practitioners/gyms, etc.
