What should I wear to my appointment?

You should wear comfortable clothing that provides access to the area that will be treated. Many patients choose to wear loose fitting exercise clothing and athletic shoes.

Yes, we strive to ensure the highest quality care by allowing you to schedule with the same therapist for all of your treatments.

Please bring your insurance card and driver’s license with you to your appointment. If applicable, also bring your physician script.

In most instances, no. The primary exception to this is Medicare.

Absolutely! You can choose wherever you want to go for physical therapy services.

Most sessions last about 45 minutes but may be 10 minutes shorter or longer, depending on the patient’s needs.

Yes! We do have private rooms at village physical therapy.

In most all cases, yes. Your therapist may have you perform certain stretches or exercises to help relieve your pain and will develop a program for you to maintain your functional gains as you improve or recover.

Some techniques may produce mild discomfort but your therapist will first explain and will then continuously monitor you and ask for feedback. Some patients also feel some temporary muscle soreness or minor pain and irritation following the treatment session, but your therapist will provide you with suggestions and support in how to manage this so it does not interrupt your daily routine.

Since every treatment plan is individualized, this varies from person to person. Some patients come 2-3 times/week while others may only need one session every other week. During your first visit, you and your therapist will develop a treatment plan with recommended frequency and duration as needed to meet your goals.

While we are networked with most insurance plans, there are always exceptions. If that is the case or you do not have health insurance, we do offer competitive self-pay rates.

Yes, all of our PT’s are licensed in the state of NC. They are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education coursework every 2 years in order to renew their licenses. Additionally, most therapists have additional certifications for specific treatment techniques.
